Infrastructure failures happen, so how are vendors responding?

According to 451 Research's most recent VotE: Storage, Vendor Evaluation Survey, one in three companies experienced an infrastructure outage in the last 12 months. The survey also found that:

  • Disaster recovery continues to be a top storage pain point for organizations
  • Despite the growing adoption of DRaaS (disaster recovery as a service), many organizations are still being affected by unexpected infrastrucutre failures
  • Companies in healthcare and government/education had a higher percentage of failures when compared with organizations in other industries
  • 50% of organizations with 1,000 - 9,999 employees suffered an outage or degredation
